Canberra
Canberra, located in SE Australia is the capital of Australia, in the Australian Capital Territory. In 1824 Canberra was established, and in 1908 chosen as the capital. Canberra officially became the second capital of the commonwealth in 1913; It is a lakeside city of parklands which well-planned with impressive restaurants, beautiful bush land and leafy suburbs. Many of the public buildings display some of Australia's most innovative architecture including those housing our major, and most impressive, national attractions. The beautiful Snowy Mountains place for hike, horsehide, mountain bike, ski, and snowboard is only 90 minutes drive from Canberra.

History of Canberra
The Name “Canberra" derived from word Kanbarra meaning "meeting place" in the old Ngunnawal language, is the name of the local Ngabri people dialect, one of the Ngunnawal family groups. Prior to European settlement, the area in which Canberra would eventually be constructed was seasonally inhabited by the Walgalu tribes and Ngunnawal. In the south-east of the Canberra area there are Ngarigo, in the north there are the Gundungurra , on the coast are the Yuin and to the west are the Wiradjuri. As per the Archaeological evidence human habitation in the Canberra area is for at least 21,000 years. In fact the Name Ngunnawal was used as a reference to corroborees held at the time of seasonal migration on each spring of the Ngunawal people to feast on the Bogong moths that pass through the region.
Climate of Canberra
Because of its distance from the coast, latitude and elevation Canberra has four distinct seasons. It experiences hot, quite dry summers, and cold winters with heavy fog and frequent frosts, with a rare spot of snow in the CBD but the surrounding areas get annual snowfall through winter and often the snow capped mountains can be seen from the CBD.

Commonwealth Park
It is a large central recreational park situated on the northern shores of Lake Burley Commonwealth Park offers various excellent areas for major events, gatherings and functions and includes generous parking, a large picnic shelter, playground facilities, and public toilets. The National Capital Exhibition and Canberra Business & Promotions Centre are co-located in the Park and provide additional indoor spaces for functions, dinners and displays.

The Telstra Tower
The Telstra Tower also known as Black Mountain Tower is a telecommunication tower that is situated above the top of Black Mountain in the Australian federal capital city of Canberra. Going 195.2metres above the mountain top, it is not only a sight in Canberra but Tower's revolving restaurant also offers panoramic views of the city and its surrounding countryside from a viewing platform.
